Designers' Nest is an integral part of CPH Vision - Denmark's most visited fashion fairs. Established in 1998 by Jan Busch Carlsen, CPH Vision aims to provide chiefly Danish and Nordic designers access to international buyers and press.

Designers' Nest was created in 2003 as a professional and international platform for Nordic design graduates to show their talents. CPH Vision has made available a building at the fashion fair to seven Nordic design schools; Danmarks Designskole, Copenhagen; Designskolen, Kolding; TEKO, Herning; Beckmans Designskole, Stockholm; Swedish School of Textiles, Borås; University of Art and Design, Helsinki; and Iceland Academy of the Arts.

Five graduate students from each school are selected to exhibit and present their exam project. Designers' Nest aims to expose and promote up-and-coming Nordic designers to the global buyers, designers, press and trendsetters who visit the biannual fashion fair, thus consolidating and expanding Denmark's status as a fashion and design nation.

The Designers' Nest Award

The Designers' Nest Award was awarded for the first time in February 2005.

Created in order to select a particularly skilled and promising design student, this accolade from the established world of fashion and design comprises an award created by a Danish designer and a cash prize of DKK 50,000. The cash prize is intended to allow the winner to further hone and promote his or her talent for design.
