PRESS RELEASE COPENHAGEN FASHION FAIRS - AUGUST 2010 

With three intense fair days concluded and a bubbling optimism in the air, Copenhagen Fashion Fairs closed the doors to its August 2010 event on Saturday 14 August.

For the first time ever, the fair period was shortened to three days - from 12-14 August.

The three-day fair format got a mixed reception and we are currently evaluating it with exhibitors and buyers.
The atmosphere was busy and we noticed an increased demand, indicating an upswing in the market with a positive outlook and brighter figures.

Thursday 12 and Friday 13 August were key days with high attendance,  great trade and new business.

Between 12-14 August 2010, CPH Vision was visited by 10,142  fashion professionals and Terminal-2 had 12,317 visitors, mainly from key markets like the UK, Benelux, Germany, France and Scandinavia.

In August 2009, total visitor numbers for Terminal-2 and CPH Vision were 20,619 and in February 2010  25,370 buyers visited the fairs.
This indicates an increase per day, compared to both August 2009 and February 2010, while taking into account that the fairs were held for three days this time around.  We can also see that the same amount of stores have been present at the fairs as in previous times, but with fewer people representing each store.

CPH Vision presented a stronger and more focused brand portfolio of 141 exhibitors and 241 brands - this time around showcasing womenswear brands only.

At Terminal-2, 132 exhibitors presented 277 contemporary urban and denim brands with their collections for the coming summer.

Press attendance and coverage exceeded all expectation and the fairs and shows were visited by international media like Dazed & Confused, Italian and Spanish Vogue, Collezioni, the Sunday Times, WGSN, Style.com and V Magazine - to name only a few - and featured in Danish and international TV, radio, and printed media.
