EXHIBITOR NEWS - COPENHAGEN FASHION FAIRS A/W 2010

So what's hot and what's new at CPH Vision and Terminal-2? Who's launching what and who's making his debut at the fairs? A lot has happened since last time. While the brand, formerly known as Denim Junkies, has changed its name to Just Junkies by DJ, the Danish agency Konrad introduces two new brands in the Scandinavian market - Makia from Finland and the London-based brand 23:23. Nille Philbert is back at CPH Vision to exhibit her feminine designs and concurrently launches her new web shop. This and much more at Copenhagen Fashion Fairs A/W 2010.

Deamond surpasses all expectations

Founded in 2008 by designers Dea Moen and Managing Director Daniel Seidenfaden, the Danish brand Deamond has rapidly become a great success and is known for its feminine styles and good quality at reasonable prices. Last August they exhibited at CPH Vision for the first time and received an immediate positive response from both press and buyers to secure orders from major department stores in both Denmark and internationally. At A/W 2010, Deamond will be presenting a collection of graphic prints, interesting cuts and materials like suede, viscose and wool from 11-14 February.

FILA and Russel Athletic re-launched

After a long absence from the market, Russel Athletic and FILA are being re-introduced by Primetime Nordic in Scandinavia.
Russell Athletic was created in 1902. For over 100 years the company has supplied clothing to top US athletes and teams. The brand is known from American football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, athletics and much more in the US and Canada and is also the leading supplier of clothing for high schools, colleges and universities.
The Fila relaunch is being introduced with two new urban collections called Gold and Vintage, matching key iconic garments in luxurious fabric blends with superior quality. Italian design, clean and elegant styling and bold use of colours are clearly the theme across all segments of the product range. Fila Vintage is a collection of iconic sportswear styles from the 70s and 80s that create the ultimate in retro sportswear, whilst Fila Gold is an interpretation of how retro sportswear has evolved into contemporary modern lifestyle fashion. Experience the new collections at Terminal-2.

No Excess

No Excess was launched at Copenhagen Fashion Fairs last season and the collection was very well-received and gained editorial coverage in big international trade publications like Sport and Street and found two new agents in Sweden.
The No Excess collection for Fall/Winter 2010 is set against the backdrop of the rugged, mountainous areas of Idaho and Utah in the 1950s. It is the right environment for the purest forms of winter sport of that time, namely skiing, hiking, mountaineering and climbing. This combination of sport and rugged nature, adapted for a modern city lifestyle, is the inspiration for the collection. The collection is made up of three monthly programmes, each with a strong, coordinated spirit, its own range of colours and tailored to the month in which it is delivered.

Danefæ looks to Nordic Mythology

Looking to Nordic mythology and the constant Scandinavian drizzle for inspiration, Danefæ had its first big success with brightly printed ladies' raincoats back in 2006. The colours and prints are updated each season, but the core line remains the same: Denmark's most legendary icons set against warm and fuzzy interiors and the chilly northern latitudes from which they spring.
Winter 10/11 will be no exception, with a full range in line with the Danefæ code of bright stripes and prints, Vikings, mermaids and the North Sea's finest herring - and, for the first time, the brand will be introducing two new fur-trimmed parkas for ladies.
