"PRESS RELEASE 10 FEBRUARY 2010 "

CPH VISION PRESS SHOW A/W10
Where fashion means business
That fashion really means business
was emphasised by the spectacular location at the Copenhagen Opera
House on this cold and snowy white Wednesday 10 February 2010 at 6
pm.
The models presented key trends for
autumn/winter 2010, carefully chosen from Øksnehallen's 156
exhibitors, an exhibition space for first movers and exclusive
designers. The show was styled by stylist Anne Stockmann - in
partnership with global trend forecasting agency WGSN.
Winter wonderland.
This season designers are seducing us with a mystery fairy-tale of
fur, metamorphic prints and cocoon silhouettes. Colours are
grey/silver, rust-red and black. It felt like a fusion between the
Snow Queen and an electro chick Little Red Riding Hood, styled with
accessories like ear muffs, muffs and fur hats - and black feathers
decorated shoulders and hats.
A mix of clothes from both up-and-coming and established designers
creates a playful blend of seriousness, mystery and excitement for
yet another winter to come.
The Opera, the Danish national opera
house, located on the island of Holmen in the centre of Copenhagen,
is the perfect setting for a fairy-tale like Copenhagen Fashion
Week. The Opera was designed by architect Henning Larsen and was
given to the Danish state in August 2000 as a private donation from
Mærsk McKinney-Møller, one of Denmark's most famous and infamous
businessmen.
As one of the most expensive opera
houses in the world, The Opera outshines any fairy-tale by miles
when used as a venue for presenting fashion for autumn and winter
2010 to a selected crowd of Danish and international press and
celebrities.
It was a very special show - for the
first time focusing solely on women's brands.
